“I can’t say enough good things, both about the cabin and about the owner. Nancy was a dream to work with, and was always helpful and accommodating. The cabin was, simply put, perfect. Clean, well-appointed and welcoming. Every time I walked around inside, I noticed something new. There was a nice light snow one evening, making walking the grounds the following morning very beautiful. The location is remote, just as advertised. I am not much of a sight-seer when I get away, so I didn’t visit any of the local sights, but I did see all the signs on my drive in, so there seems to be much to see and do if you so choose. Definitely put Possum Lodge on your must-visit list. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back.”

“We just loved our stay at Possum Lodge. The cabin rental is awesome and beautiful, very spacious, and furnished very nicely. Very clean and well maintained. The property is nice and secluded which was just what we wanted yet near lakes and local stuff to see and do. Had a very relaxing time and plan to come back. Highly recommend.”

“WOW! We found everything we were looking for when I bumped into PossumLodgeCabins online. I signed up after going over their beautiful website and making the usual arrangements for my wife and I, two kids, and our pet dog. Getting there was a cinch. Upon arrival we found access to an expansive, peaceful and private 64 acres of outdoor nature ready to be explored, so we began walking a number of trails and observing the undisturbed wildlife which put all of us in a relaxing and energized mood–not to mention the fresh air and clear, clean night sky. And with two lakes just down the road, what more could we ask for? The abundant cabin luxury was unexpected–air conditioning, full kitchen, bath, bedrooms on both floors with balcony, porch, and convenient outdoor bar & grill made our stay a very enjoyable experience. We never even turned on the free cable TV. Instead we enjoyed sharing and roaming the grounds with the wildlife and making outdoor camp fires or gathering around the crackling indoor fireplace to roast a few marshmellows. We hated to leave and have already made future vacation plans to return to nature once again at Possum Lodge. (Next time we’re bringing the neighbor and his ATV.)”

“Best of both worlds. Nature lovers and city slickers of the family had a great time. Cabin is large, clean and comfortable with all the modern conveniences. At the same time it is rustic and remote. We enjoyed fishing on the banks of Piedmont Lake near the dam and walking through the woods on a private path. The back porch overlooks a sloping hill with a feeding station that attracted deer, turkey, and other wildlife. A great place to drink morning coffee while enjoying the hummingbirds. Definitely looking forward to returning!”
